NOTICE OF CITY OF LASALLE PLANNING COMMISSION
HEARING AND MEETING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby provided of a public hearing that will take place on the 4th day of August, 2025 before the City of La Salle Planning Commission at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 745 Second Street, La Salle, IL, concerning the following matters and matters related thereto:
- The petition of Donald L. Ashley, Trustee under a Trust Agreement dated July 5, 2001, and Sue M. Ashley, under a Trust Agreement for a zoning change to M-1, Light Industrial in the event of and on annexation to the City of La Salle; said premises are presently zoned by the County of La Salle as A-1, Agriculture; a portion of said premises being referenced by La Salle County PIN #17-09-201-000; commonly known as a 10’ wide strip that is a portion of the premises located south of the former Builder’s Choice Lumberyard; and said premises and property are more specifically described as follows:
That part of the South 23 acres of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 33 North, Range 1 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 9; thence South 00 degrees 17 minutes 54 seconds West 471.25 feet along the East line of said Northeast Quarter; thence South 89 degrees 27 minutes 54 seconds West 33.50 feet along the North line of the south 23 acres of said Northeast Quarter to a point on the Westerly Right-of-Way line of Airport Road and Chartres Street and to the Point of Beginning; thence South 00 degrees 19 minutes 10 seconds West 10.00 feet along said Westerly Right-of-Way line; thence South 89 degrees 27 minutes 54 seconds West 568.54 feet; thence North 00 degrees 17 minutes 54 seconds East 10.00 feet to a point on said North line; thence North 89 degrees 27 minutes 54 seconds East 568.55 feet along said North line to the Point of Beginning, containing 0.131 acres more or less, and all situated in the City of Peru, County of LaSalle, State of Illinois.
That in connection with the above requests and matters related thereto, the Planning Commission of the City of La Salle may take such action and make such recommendations as the Planning Commission of the City of La Salle may deem appropriate in the circumstances for recommendation and/or consideration thereof to the City Council in the appropriate exercise of discretion of the Planning Commission of the City of La Salle, including making recommendations in connection with any modifications to any of said requests as the Planning Commission may deem appropriate in the circumstances, all of which may also be subject to and contingent upon such further covenants, terms, provisions and restrictions as the Planning Commission of the City of La Salle may deem appropriate in the circumstances at the time of said Planning Hearing and/or any continuance and/or reconvening of the same, all of which will be held pursuant to and consistent with the law in such cases including, but not being limited to, all parties being provided an opportunity to be heard and to examine and to cross-examine all potential witnesses.
